Athens Radiology Associates, P.C. is a private 30-physician radiology group serving the Athens area of Georgia for almost 30 years. We are a 100% physician-owned and serve 5 hospitals (including a level II trauma center) and several outpatient imaging centers with steady growth. We provide high-quality subspecialty care to our patients and value building relationships with the referring physicians in our community.

Athens is a beautiful college town, home to the University of Georgia and three other universities and colleges. It is famous for great music, delicious food, and a friendly atmosphere. It is 1 hour from Atlanta, and less than 2 hours from the beautiful mountains in north Georgia. The Athens area has excellent public and private schools including the #1 public school district in the state.

Breast Imaging

Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible fellowship-trained breast imager to join our friendly, collaborative team of 5 established breast imagers. We provide the full range of breast imaging services to three breast imaging centers in the area, identified as ACR Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence. We work closely with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists, and pathologists. All of our breast centers have Hologic mammogram machines, Brevara/Eviva for stereotactic biopsies, and Hologic Securview workstations.

Partnership track or employee track is available for breast imagers. Partnership track includes evening and weekend general call (see above section). Breast-only employee track with compensation of $500k+. Additional stipend available for those in training.

Interventional Radiology

A wide breadth of interventional procedures are currently performed with growing oncologic and trauma service lines. The practice includes both fellowship-trained interventional radiologists and physician assistants. The Physician assistants perform the majority of the minor procedures including PICC, ports, thoracentesis, and paracentesis. Dialysis work and peripheral arterial interventions are primarily covered by vascular surgery and are not part of our current practice. Mammography work is not required.

Body

Seeking a board-certified/board-eligible fellowship-trained body imager. The position is fairly specialized with day work primarily involving body and thoracic CT, MRI & PET, as well as basic nuclear medicine. Call work is general radiology. Mammography is not expected or necessary. Remote positions will be considered.
